CANTERBURY – David Piroso, 62, of Canterbury passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, following a period of declining health.

David was born in Concord on June 27, 1953. He was a graduate of Concord High School, Class of 1971 and a more than 30-year resident of Canterbury. He had a rewarding 21-year career as a printer at Universal Packaging, and then spent the next 12 years in sales at Riley’s Gun Shop in Hooksett.

David was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Sunset Mountain Fish & Game and he loved animals of all kinds, especially dogs. He was a proficient woodworker, making countless gifts and projects for friends and family. Most importantly, David was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

His family meant the world to him and he deeply enjoyed the time he was able to spend with them.

David is survived by his wife of 33 years, Starlene (McDonald) Piroso; his daughter Heidi Piroso of Belmont; his son, Mike Piroso and wife, Kali, of Peterborough; and one special and beautiful granddaughter, Lexi. David also leaves behind brothers and sisters, Douglas Piroso and wife, Diana; Joseph Piroso and wife, Mary; Richard Piroso; Carol Sheehy-Plourde and husband, Gary Plourde; Karen Andrews and husband, Tim; and Kathy Bryant and husband,Richard; many nieces and nephews; and his cherished chocolate lab Coco-de-man.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his beloved dog, Brady.

Family and friends are invited to gather Friday, April 29, at 4 to 6 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King St. in Boscawen. A memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

The family welcomes flowers, but those wishing to make a memorial contribution instead may do so to Pope-Memorial SPCA, 94 Silk Farm Road, Concord 03301. The shelter welcomes financial donations as well as donations of food and pet care items.
