The Newport Charity Trust scholarship fund is for career and technical education students and others seeking to pursue education in their field. Scholarship awards will range from $1,500 to $8,000 each; it is limited to residents of Newport who have lived there for a minimum of two years. Scholarships will be geared toward certificate programs such as welding, medical related certificate courses, CDL truck driving, hairdressing, heavy equipment operators, and CNC machine operators. The scholarship is not intended for academic studies.
