The Rustik Baby Project & the New Hampshire Breastfeeding Rights Coalition supports N.H.’s Workplace Flexibility legislation – SB 416 – and urges the House to advance this bill into law.

We proudly support the efforts of Sen. Dan Feltes, who explains, “Workers of all ages now request flexibility with greater frequency in order to help take care of their aging parents and grandparents. The legislation prohibits retaliation against workers who make flexible work arrangement requests. Businesses are losing great workers because those workers are too afraid to request flexibility, have been fired or demoted. Flexible work arrangements lead to greater worker retention and greater worker productivity.”

With the passage of SB 416, our state has an opportunity to raise its current grade of D for policies that are family friendly, as reported by the National Partnership for Women and Families. We hope the full House supports this pro-worker, pro-business legislation, which passed the House Labor committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote.
