A danger to the establishment

I write in response to the Washington Post editorial published in the Monitor on May 16, with the headline “A fiscally dangerous plan.”

For every economist who “proves” Bernie Sanders’s plans can’t work, there is one who proves they can. The established military political behemoth that has become our government does not want the kind of change that would truly help the working poor and cut back on the slaughter of innocents abroad. They are terrified that their own power and profit will be undermined.

Maybe the Washington Post is right. Maybe there will be a financial crisis from which we can never recover. Or maybe this is yet another example of the lies and fear-mongering used to convince us to vote for the establishment. Maybe they are crying wolf, and we’re just not buying it this time.
