There will be a yard and bake sale at the Andover Congregational Church on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located on the corner of Route 11 and Chase Hill Road in East Andover. All proceeds from the sale go to the Grange Hall Restoration Fund; the historic Highland Lake Grange Hall is now owned by the church and needs more than $200,000 in repairs and restoration.

The new exhibit at the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum will be Glooscap/Kluskap of the Wabanaki in the Contemporary Art Gallery through Sept. 30. Maliseet artist Dozay has portrayed the adventures of the Wabanaki hero Kluskap in a series of paintings. Kluskap stories teach the importance of Mother Earth, the importance of animals and illustrate important values. The nonprofit South Weare Improvement Society will hold bingo June 18, July 16, Aug. 20, Sept. 17, and Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. at Osborne Memorial Hall. Bingo sheets, daubers, pull-tabs and refreshments are for sale. Proceeds benefit Osborne Memorial Hall renovations, so do not carry in. No one under 18 is allowed.

The Webster Elementary students will host a Memorial Day observance Friday at 10 a.m. at the Webster Meeting House. All community members who are veterans or currently members in the military are invited to join in activities. The school children will be doing the inside program before they proceed to the park to lay the wreath.
Library trustees will meet Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the library.
The book group will discuss The Wind is Not a River by Brian Payson on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
The church will serve a public chicken barbecue supper Saturday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The meal will consist of chicken, salads, rolls, cranberry sauce, hot or cold drinks and ice cream with sauch and whipped cream. Cost is $10 for adults or $ for children ages 2 to 12. A penny sale for plants will follow. For $2, you’ll get 25 chances to win. Tickets go on sale at 3 p.m.; drawings begin at 6:30 p.m.
