Richard Holmes, a Newport doctor, was named chairman of the board. Brackett Scheffy, a retired judge, and Lynn Perkins, the retired chairwoman of Perkins Hardware, retired from the board.
Margaret Franckhauser was appointed to the governor’s Commission on Health Care Workforce. She is CEO of Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice.
Cindy Foley, primary vaccine manager at Spaulding Youth Center, was honored as the Childhood Immunization Champion by the Department of Health and Human Services’s Division of Public Health.

Jane Jordan, branch manager of Mortage Network in Laconia, was honored by the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority for efforts helping homebuyers access affordable loans and homes.
Kathy DesRoches of Epsom was named the new program director for the Master of Science in Leadership at Granite State College. She was formerly director of workforce development at Manchester Community College.
Douglas Bechtel was named president of the New Hampshire Audubon by its board of trustees. He served the New Hampshire Chapter of the Nature Conservancy in various roles for 15 years and was most recently executive director of Audubon International.
Hilary Walrod of Hopkinton received Colby-Sawyer College’s highest teaching award, the Jack Jensen Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is an associate professor of fine and performing arts who teaches graphic design and digital media.
Dan Habib was reappointed to the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities by President Obama. The mission of the committee is to provide advice and assistance on a range of topics that impact people with intellectual disabilities and the field of intellectual disabilities.
