GIRLS’ TENNIS

Division I semifinalsNo. 5 Concord (12-3) at No. 1 Exeter (15-0), 4 p.m.

Head to head: The Crimson Tide lost to Exeter, 6-3, in the season opener.

Previous tournament games: Concord beat No. 4 Derryfield, 5-4. The Blue Hawks flew past No. 8 Dover, 8-1

Notes: Exeter may be undefeated, but the Tide won’t be intimidated. Concord beat the Blue Hawks in Exeter in last year’s semifinals, 7-2. And this Tide team just proved itself in the pressure of the playoffs with the win at Derryfield, a match that was tied 3-3 after singles. Concord Coach Greg Coache said, “I know we can down there and upset them. They’re very good, I don’t want to downplay that, but we’re a very confident team right now.

Division III semifinals

No. 4 Profile (13-2) at No. 1 Bow (15-0), 4 p.m.

Head to head: The Falcons handled Profile, 8-1, on May 18.

Previous tournament games: Bow beat No. 7 Pelham, 7-2. Profile took care of Kingswood in a shortened match, 5-1.

Notes: This is the sixth straight semifinal appearance for the Bow girls, who lost in this round last year to Conant (the top seed in 2015), 5-4. The Falcons are tough from top to bottom, starting with No. 1 Laura Zbehlik, and their top six consists of four seniors and two juniors, so there’s plenty of experience there as well. When these two teams met two weeks ago, Bow got singels wins from Zheblik (8-3), No. 2 Nandita Kasireddy (9-8), No. 3 Casey Day (8-3), No. 4 Claire Mulvaney (8-1) and No. 6 Julia Currier (8-2).
