Who is the unsung hero of your team and why? Hanne Nichols has been a huge part of the team’s success this year. She’s not only a great softball player but she is a great leader on this team as well. She has helped keep this team moving forward throughout the season and pushed for the success we have accomplished so far.

What has been the biggest surprise of the season? We started this season off not knowing what it would hold and feeling a little skeptical. Now as we are coming into playoffs we hold ourselves at a level we never would have expected. I think seeing everyone come together and watching all the pieces fall into place has been a huge surprise but a great one!

Who has been your toughest opponent and why? We played Campbell our fourth game of the season and it was a huge milestone for our team. They were very tough to play and have a great record. That game was a huge challenge and test of our team’s character and really showed us how well we could work together. I think it was the push we needed to really get a jump on the season.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they? If no, why not? Yes I do. I started this season listening to the song “Black Betty” by Ram Jam before our first game. We won the game against Gilford and after that it stuck. All my teammates laugh at me but I can’t play if that last song I hear isn’t “Black Betty.”

What’s your favorite pre-game meal? I don’t have a favorite pre-game meal. I don’t tend to eat before games. I’ll usually just eat seeds (Sizzlin Bacon) before and while I play.

If you weren’t playing your sport in the spring, what would you be doing? I honestly have no idea. I’ve played softball for as long as I can remember so my springs have always been busy. If I wasn’t playing I’d be working a lot more and finishing up the school year.

If you could go to see any sporting event, what would it be? A Red Sox game. I’ve never been to a game but it looks very exciting. I’d love to try it out.

What’s your favorite place to eat? Somerset Creamery is an ice cream place in Cataumet, Mass. I have a lot of family in that area so it’s always a treat in the summer when they are open. I know ice cream isn’t the healthiest thing to eat all the time, but I could live off Somerset.

What’s your most-played song right now? “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me” by Billy Joel. I’ve always been a fan of the classics.

Do you have any must-see television shows? I’m a Netflix fanatic so I go through shows like crazy. I recommend anything action or crime – those are my favorites.

What’s your favorite website? Twitter. I’m a teenager so I can’t get enough of my social media.

If you could be anyone else, who would you be? Why? I’d pick someone high up on the law enforcement chain so I wouldn’t have to spend the next eight years studying to get there. No, seriously I’m sure it’ll be a blast getting there!

If someone made a movie of your season, who would play you? Who would play your coach? If anyone could play me I would say Jennifer Lawrence because she’s a fantastic actress and could fit any role. My coach, Skip DuBois, is Robert De Niro all the way!

If you could invite any three people to dinner, who would they be, what would you serve them and what would you talk about? Sigmund Freud, B. F. Skinner and Alfred Adler who are three very influential psychologists. It would be cool to talk to them and understand their points of view on certain situations. I’m going to school to study criminal psychology and to talk to them would be very interesting. I would do some research on their favorite foods and serve them whatever they like to sweeten the pot!

If you won $10 million in the lottery, what would you do with it? I would definitely save some right off the bat because it would be hard to after. I’d give a lot to my parents and close family. Then I’d have to say I’d go out and spend the rest on classic cars and clothes.
