Who is the unsung hero of your team and why? The unsung hero of the team is probably our goalie, Peter Caraway. Both of our goalies graduated last year and that left us with no one in net. Peter was the first and only player to step up to do the job. He worked with our assistant coach Scott Vittner, and our goalie coach Chris Benoit, over the summer to improve his abilities.
What has been the biggest surprise of the season? The biggest surprise of the season was probably starting a game as a defensemen. We were missing some players so my coach asked me to play “D” and I did. I won’t lie, I didn’t do half bad!
Who has been your toughest opponent and why? The toughest opponent of the season was probably Merrimack Valley. I know quite a few kids on the team and it has always been a rivalry between our teams. Sadly, we were not able to beat them either time this year, but I still think we gave them good games.
Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they? If no, why not? I don’t really have any superstitions. Every game has its own beginning to me and I’m always trying to do different things to get myself pumped up, as well as my team, and make sure everyone is good to go.
What’s your favorite pre-game meal? My favorite pregame meal is eating spaghetti the night before. My mom is awesome enough to have held a pasta dinner the night before our first game of almost every week of the season that we have had.
If you weren’t playing your sport in the spring, what would you be doing? If I didn’t play lacrosse, I would go out for track. If I didn’t participate in any sports, I would be working a lot more. Also I would be hanging out with friends and playing video games.
If you could go to see any sporting event, what would it be? I would go to either a Manchester Derby, Manchester United vs. Manchester City, or a Champions League final. The atmosphere of a game of that level would be absolutely amazing. Manchester City is my favorite futbol team so seeing any of their games would probably be the best sporting event ever.
What’s your favorite place to eat? My favorite place to eat is Friendly’s. I’m really unoriginal when it comes to ordering food. I’m that kid that will alternate between chicken fingers and a hamburger no matter what the restaurant. I love Friendly’s chicken and I mean, who doesn’t love ice cream for dessert!
What’s your most-played song right now? My most played song right now is “The Buzz,” by Hermitude. The only reason it’s the most played song is because it is on my warm up playlist for lacrosse.
Do you have any must-see television shows? My favorite TV shows as of right now are “Super Store” and “Limitless.” “Super Store” is just an easy show to watch with some pretty good humor. Ironically, a character in the show is named Glenn. Limitless is just a really cool show, and I have always been into NCIS LA and they have similar plots but different portrayals.
What’s your favorite website? My favorite website would be ESPN. I’m always checking scores of games and wanting to know the latest in sports. Between lacrosse and soccer, I’m always finding more news and transfer rumors and such.
If you could be anyone else, who would you be? Why? If I could be anyone else I would be Spiderman. Spiderman is a brilliant teenager, with superpowers that he can use to save people’s lives and to better his own.
If someone made a movie of your season, who would play you? Who would play your coach? I would be Mark Wahlberg because he is from the Boston area, similar to me, and he is a pretty solid actor. He can play both funny and dramatic characters which can fit my personally as I can be both humorous and serious. My coach, Tim Vasconcellos would be Owen Wilson because their personalities are so similar. Goofy one minute, super serious and knowledgeable the next.
If you could invite any three people to dinner, who would they be, what would you serve them and what would you talk about? If I could invite three people to dinner they would be Sergio Aguero, Chris Evans, because who wouldn’t want to eat with Captain America, and John Oliver. I would serve them whatever they asked for but I would have either chicken fingers or a hamburger depending on the day. We would talk about sports, mainly soccer, and politics. The politics would be a running satire from John Oliver.
If you won $10 million in the lottery, what would you do with it? The first thing I would do is pay off all of my parents’ debt. Then, I would build a sick indoor facility for PA to use for practices similar to Bow field house. I would make it a more open concept and put hoops in there with a track around it all. Lastly, I would splurge for a new car for myself because I love my Subaru, but it’s not the most stylish car out there. I’d let my younger brother have the Subaru when he gets his license.
