The Executive Council is the most powerful government body in New Hampshire that no one knows about. Acting like a board of directors for the governor, executive councilors play an important role as champions for all our stateโs citizens and as guarantors of transparency, efficiency and fairness in our government.
The councilโs responsibilities include: approval of state contracts of more than $25,000; confirmation of all judicial nominees; approval of the appointments of state department heads and state board members; and approval of New Hampshireโs 10-year transportation plan.
Iโm running for the Executive Council in District 2 because Granite Staters need a strong advocate on the Executive Council who will give them a voice in State House conversations.
As a Concord-based husband, father and lawyer who has advocated for fair public education funding from Claremont to Dover, as well as the retirement security of our stateโs workers, I believe I am that voice.
As executive councilor, I will fight to restore vital funding for Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, push for smart investments in local infrastructure projects and commuter rail, work to ensure the selection of judges from broad, diverse backgrounds, and ask the tough questions of appointees and proposed contractors.
Iโm proud to have the support of the Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire, the SEA/SEIU Local 1984, NEA-NH, the NH/American Postal Workers Union and hundreds of Granite Staters like you who care about the future of our state. I would be honored to earn your support, too.
