The Dunbarton School Board is pleased to announce that the New Hampshire Supreme Court recently ruled in its favor on the legal question of whether Dunbarton has a continuing financial obligation to Goffstown for payments related to a 2001 bond for improvements to the Goffstown High School. On May 13, the Court ruled that Dunbarton’s financial obligations under the AREA Agreement between Goffstown, Dunbarton and New Boston ended when the agreement expired June 30, 2014. The Dunbarton School District is grateful to its attorneys, Dan Will and Joshua Wyatt, for their excellent legal work on this case. In accordance with a separate tuition agreement, Dunbarton remains responsible for tuition payments to Goffstown for the Dunbarton students currently attending the Goffstown High School. At the time those students conclude their high school careers, Dunbarton’s financial responsibilities to Goffstown will end.
