Irresponsible reporting

In response to the front-page article “Gun in shooting made by N.H. firm” (Monitor, June 17), I ask why does this matter, why is it news?

Does this somehow mean we are all guilty for allowing guns to be made here in the Live Free or Die State? Why does it matter what the gun was or who made it or where it was made?

It is time for some responsible reporting from all papers, TV, internet, etc.

Every time a shooting is sensationalized, it just inspires more people to copy it or one up it. Stop publishing the names of the shooters. This was not just a shooting, it was a terrorist attack.

Yes, we all have freedom of speech, but everyone in the press has a greater responsibility. Report the facts, call a crime what it is and stop sensationalizing people who commit these mass shootings.

It is time for some responsible reporting from all.
