The Erie SeaWolves ended a three-game series with a 2-1 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Wednesday in Eastern League action.

New Hampshire (31-40) scored its only run in the top of the seventh inning on a solo home run from Dwight Smith Jr. Smith’s home run tied the game but the Cats surrendered an eighth-inning home run to Erie (32-42), which held on from there.

Murphy Smith took the loss for the Fisher Cats, giving up one run on two hits with four strikeouts over three innings.
