I would like to thank the excellent care my sister, Debra Patten, received during her stay at Concord Hospital due to a home accident. The nursing staff in ER and fifth floor North were wonderful to her. I would like to especially thank Dr. Stewart Fulton, who was excellent, and I mean excellent. His attitude was extremely professional and the best I have seen in a long time. He spent many times with her and myself in answering our questions in ways that we could understand. He took time, and we appreciated it so much. She is now doing rehab at Pleasant View Nursing Center.

I would like to also congratulate Paulette Chagnon of Pittsfield, who has been a registered nurse at Concord Hospital for 40 years. Paulette is to be commended because she continues to wear the traditional white nurse uniform and her cap. She has said many times that she earned that cap and she is very proud to wear it. One of the days I was at the hospital visiting my sister, her associates and medical staff gave her a surprise party. They were all dressed wearing the white caps with the black stripe. Great work, Paulette.

I would like to thank the staff of Engine 7 and Rescue 7 from the Heights station who responded to my sister’s medical aid call. She had fallen in the bathroom and it was difficult in gaining entry, but they did and transported her to the ER.
