BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – Jason Leblebijian doubled twice and singled, scoring a pair of runs while also driving home a couple as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats topped the Binghamton Mets, 11-5, in the second game of a doubleheader on Friday.
Roemon Fields singled twice with a pair of runs and a couple of RBI for New Hampshire, which split the twin bill.
In the opener, Tyler Pill tossed a six-hit complete game and Maikis De La Cruz hit a grand slam and had two hits as the Mets topped the Fisher Cats, 10-4.
Pill (5-8) allowed four runs while striking out seven and walking one to pick up the win.
New Hampshire took the lead in the first when Leblebijian hit an RBI double and then scored on a three-run home run by Jorge Saez.
Following the big inning, the Mets cut into the deficit in the bottom of the frame when Dominic Smith hit an RBI single, scoring Jose Reyes.
The Fisher Cats later added six runs in the fifth and one in the sixth. In the fifth, Rowdy Tellez hit a two-run single, while Fields hit an RBI single in the sixth.
Chris Smith (1-2) got the win in relief while Binghamton starter Jim Henderson (0-1) took the loss in the Eastern League game.
D. Smith homered and singled, driving home two runs for the Mets. Phillip Evans homered and doubled, driving in three runs.
