An arrest has been made after a road rage incident Monday that involved gunfire.
Belmont police said Friday that Christopher Bonilla, 20, of Nashua, was arrested Thursday and charged with felony reckless conduct. Police said Bonilla fired a bullet from a .40 caliber handgun at another moving car on Route 106 in Belmont about 7:40 p.m. Monday.
The bullet struck the rear window of a man’s car, shattering it. The bullet was lodged there and was later found by police. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
Police later found and interviewed Bonilla in Nashua. While at his home, they served a search warrant and seized a .40 caliber handgun and ammunition as evidence.
Bonilla was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to enter a plea in Belknap County Superior Court at 1:30 p.m. on July 21.
