The design committee of the Greater Meredith Program will hold a design charette to envision the future for the Swasey Park. Christopher Williams Architects of Meredith will facilitate the program. The charette will begin at noon Friday. In the afternoon and evening the public is invited to attend one of two public input sessions at the Meredith Community Center from 4 to 5:30 p.m. or from 7 to 8:30 p.m. On Saturday from 2:30 to 4 p.m., the charette team will present the options to the public and conduct a discussion to reach a final plan. There are 23 new sculpture pieces displayed along with nine returning pieces along the Meredith Sculpture Walk, installed by the Greater Meredith Program. Docents will explain the thoughts of the artists while they were creating their pieces as well as the materials and construction. Tours will leave from the Mill Falls Marketplace in front of the bookstore Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10 a.m. during July and August. In September, tours will be Saturdays at 10 a.m. Special group tours can be arranged by emailing gmp@metrocast.net or calling 279-9015.
