The state Department of Corrections is looking for a minimum security inmate who walked away from a transitional housing unit in Concord.
Herbert Clark-Hoover Janvrin III, 29, of Rochester was placed on escape status about 2:30 p.m. Thursday after he didn’t return to the North End Transitional Housing Unit, according to a statement from Department of Corrections spokesman Jeff Lyons.
Janvrin left the facility at 11:35 a.m. to go to work, but his employer later informed the department that he never showed up, Lyons said.
Janvrin is described as a white man, with black hair and green eyes. He is 6 feet tall and weighs about 215 pounds. He also has tattoos on his back, neck, left hand, left shoulder and both arms.
In December 2014, Janvrin was sentenced in Rockingham County Superior Court to one to two years in prison on a burglary charge. He received credit for 33 days already served. He was eligible for parole Oct. 31, 2015, but did not receive it. His maximum release date is Oct. 30.
Anyone with information on Janvrin’s whereabouts is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency or the state police.
