A Belmont man was arrested Monday night after police say a speeding violation in Bow turned into a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 93.
Gary Kenneson, 34, faces charges of aggravated DWI, reckless conduct and disobeying an officer, according to a statement from state police.
Police tried unsuccessfully to stop a 2016 Dodge Ram pickup truck for speed in Bow at about 10 p.m. It then proceeded to crash on Hall Street before continuing onto I-93 north at Exit 12, police said.
Bow police requested the assistance of state police, as the vehicle was reported to be driving erratically on the interstate and having lane control issues. Troopers were ultimately able to deploy spike strips, which disabled the pickup’s tires, police said. The pickup became struck off West Road in Canterbury.
Kenneson was taken into custody and held for lack of $15,000 bail.
