Remember the emails

Twenty-thousand emails written by national Democratic Party apparatus officials about the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign are in the news.

It is my understanding that these emails had a purpose to denigrate Sanders and harm his campaign.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Democratic National Committee chairwoman, resigned her position when these emails were released by WikiLeaks.

I wonder who in the Democratic National Committee wrote these e-mails and to whom were they written.

With such a large number of emails involved, it would seem that many officials in the Democratic Party apparatus were involved in this scandal.

To me, it would also seem to follow that Democratic Party officials in Hillary Clinton’s campaign were aware of and party to these emails and, by consequence, Hillary Clinton herself.

The U.S. corporate media is just sweeping this matter under the rug and saying Russia was responsible for these emails being released – as if this exonerates those responsible for the emails.

Julian Assange of WikiLeaks has stated in this regard that WikiLeaks does not release the sources of its information.

As soon as Wasserman Schultz resigned her position as party chairwoman, she was immediately hired by Hillary to work in the Clinton presidential campaign.

What does this say about fairness and democracy in the U.S. presidential campaign?

It is my hope that the Concord Monitor will not let this matter just fade away.
