Thanks to the efforts of 18 agencies, a missing 81-year-old man was located safe in Franklin Thursday morning.
New Hampshire Fish and Game received a report around 11 p.m. Wednesday that Charles Rayno, a Franklin resident who suffers from dementia, went missing. Fish and Game responded to A Street to look for Rayno, and a multi-agency search lasted throughout the night.
Emergency respondersย fromย Franklin, Tilton/Northfield, Sanbornton, Gilford, New Hampton, Laconia, Belmont, Hill, Salisbury, Boscawen, Penacook, Andover, the Lakes Region CERT Team,ย New Hampshire Fish and Game, New Hampshire State Police andย New England K9 Search and Rescue all helped.ย
Rayno was found walking around the GMI Asphalt Company off Punch Brook Road at 7:30 Thursday morning, about half a mile from where he was last seen on A Street.ย
Franklin Fire and Rescue treated Rayno at the scene, and he was then transported to Franklin Regional Hospital for superficial injuries, dementia and observation.ย
Fish and Game is investigating this incident.ย
