Trump versus Clinton in a debate should focus on principles rather than policy minutia and details.
The principles of our country within the Declaration of Independence are simple: after protecting Life, they are Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness.
Policies forcing easy home ownership led to the Great Recession. This policy decision from Bill Clinton caused huge problems as Time magazine reported: “In 1995 Clinton loosened housing rules . . . which put added pressure on banks to lend.”
Dictates from bad policies can be seriously wrong, as we see today while still recovering from the housing bubble collapse.
Wonks like the Clintons like to force their policy and regulations, and the added taxes to fund them, which force federal control against free market competition.
Trump should remind people that it was central planning regulation policies that allowed banks to be too big to fail, federal health care that takes the freedom of choice away, and school intrusions like Common Core are central planning policy dictates and not competitively enhanced by free choice.
A businessman like Trump has first-hand experience in the heavy-handed policies of government and knows how much it smothers competition, job growth and favors big businesses over small.
Small businesses cannot afford to hire and pay employees well with so many added expenses from these socialist centered dictates.
Hillary is a policy wonk who lives for, and in, government – not under its mandated controls.
Who knows better the liberty to pursue happiness than Trump?
