Gov. Maggie Hassan was not injured after a Volvo sedan collided with her official state vehicle in Nashua around noon on Thursday, according to the Nashua police. No one was transported to the hospital.

Hassan was on her way to Harbor Homes to mark Community Health Center Week.

Nashua Deputy Police Chief Denis Linehan said the Volvo’s operator appears to have run a stop sign on School Street, striking the driver side of Hassan’s white Chevrolet Tahoe as it drove down High Street. State police Sgt. Scott Frye was behind the wheel. Hassan was the only passenger and her office said in a Tweet that she was “not injured.”

The collision caused some damage to the state vehicle, but it was driven from the scene, Linehan said. Hassan continued on to the event after the accident, according to her office.

The sedan was towed. The police are still investigating.
