Downtown Concord is quiet on Saturday night, Aug. 6, but not quite dead. Not every bar table is filled, but groups gather for friendly games of pool and foosball. A steady flow of Pokémon Go players occupy Bicentennial Square, with the glow of screens lighting up determined faces. The dance floor at Tandy’s is empty, but a lively crowd stands around the bar. Traffic is non-existent, except for the occasional bicyclist enjoys free rein on North Main Street. At Penuche’s, a birthday is celebrated and a break in the live music gives a young couple a moment to themselves. This is one summer night in Concord.
