The latest “smoke-and-mirrors” story from our city planners: Loudon Road Redo Redo.
I’m retired, and I travel that road as a voter and shopper almost every day, and sometimes a couple of times in a day.
In these several years, I have not seen a single accident or traffic tie-up, and won’t believe a safety report endorsing three lanes unless it has both currency and information from other cities that have made the 4-3-lane switch.
The latest cute idea from City Manager Tom Aspell is to take the grant money, do the paving with a three-lane design and then revert to four lanes, citing safety issues were not improved.
As they say, what a crock.
