I find it ironic that a special interest group working for Maggie Hassan is attacking Kelly Ayotte for supposedly being at the mercy of special interests.
People here in New Hampshire know that Kelly doesn’t stand for anyone except us, and these outside groups aren’t going to convince me otherwise.
Second, these special interest groups flooding our airwaves are so intent on getting Hassan elected, they don’t even see how ridiculous this is. Ads like this are exactly why Kelly wanted to keep outside groups out of the U.S. Senate race. Hassan has had the backing of millions of dollars of Washington special interest money. Whether it’s a big public sector union or Washington Democrats, Hassan has benefited greatly from outside special interest money.
So it seems like Maggie Hassan is the real puppet of special interests. She refused to sign the People’s Pledge that Kelly Ayotte and Jeanne Shaheen signed, and her refusal allowed for all of this out-of-state special interest money to flood our TVs. So next time you see one of these ads, remember who the real special interest candidate is: Maggie Hassan.
