The American Red Cross and Sport Clips Haircuts are teaming up to offer a free haircut coupon to those who donate blood or platelets during September. The United Church of Penacook will host a free concert featuring The Meadowlark Trio on Tuesday at 7 p.m. An ensemble of piano, violin and cello, the trio was formed by three best friends at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and they have performed nationwide. The Gilford Rotary Club will host its annual pancake breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Gilford Youth Center on Potter Hill Road. All-you-can-eat pancakes will be served with sausage, orange juice and coffee. Gluten-free pancakes will also be on the menu. All proceeds will benefit the Cheryl Walsh Scholarship Fund.
The Leavitt Park Carnival will take place at 334 Elm St. on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. There will be games, bingo, a dunking booth, food, 50/50 raffle and more. If you can help out as a volunteer at the carnival, call Tony at 998-1418. The carnival will be inside if it rains.
A free eight-week parenting series for parents of children ages 2 to 8 years old will be offered by Riverbend Community Mental Health.
