Ellen Patterson and Daniel LaFontaine were married July 9 at Hope Glen Farm in Cottage Grove, Minn. Janice McLaughlin officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Talia Hillman of Minneapolis, Minn., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennelle Liljestrand of Munich, Germany; Meghan Cornwall of Denver; Kristen Lish of Boston; and Ana Brzezinska of San Fransico.
Glenn Kelly of New Haven, Conn., was the best man. Groomsmen were Dennis Donovan of Boston; Graham Pearson of New York City; James Grant of Washington, D.C.; and Mark Patterson of Pittsburgh, Pa., brother of the bride.
The bride, daughter of Richard and Barbara Patterson of St. Louise Park, Minn., earned a bachelor’s degree from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, and a master’s degree in social work from Smith College, Northampton, Mass. She is a medical social worker at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass.
The groom, son of Millie and Michael LaFontaine of Concord, earned a bachelor’s degree from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, and is a doctoral student studying physical therapy at Simmons College in Boston.
The couple took a honeymoon to the Kona coast of Hawaii and lives in Boston.
