We live off of Loudon Road. We drive on it daily, and sometimes walk along it. The crosswalks, as they are, are very dangerous. They just are not obvious.
Drivers do not even see them and go speeding through, even when the light has turned red. I have seen this happen quite a few times.
It is just a matter of time until somebody (probably a child or elderly person) is hit and injured, or worse. The crosswalks need to be more obviously marked.
Bright yellow diagonal lines would be good. They would catch the attention of drivers much more than the present lines.
It would be best if this could happen soon, not whenever Loudon Road is reconfigured. Who knows when that will happen?
