Albert Bierstadt’s monumental 10-foot-wide painting, The Emerald Pool (1870) is making its way back to New Hampshire for the first time since it was painted, as the crown jewel of the Currier Museum of Art’s upcoming ode to the Northeast’s highest summit: “Mount Washington: The Crown of New England.”
On view from Oct. 1 through Jan. 16, the exhibit will bring together for the first time many of the most important early images of the Mount Washington region.
Tickets will be $5 per person in addition to general museum admission. The Currier, located at 150 Ash St. in Manchester, is open every day except Tuesday.
