To the voters of District 16: It was 27 years ago when I met my friend and former coach, Scott McGilvray, at Memorial High School.
As a recent transfer to the school and a freshman football player, it was a time of major adjustment. I was dealing with serious issues at home and I desperately needed a normal, steady, caring adult for support.
Scott McGilvray took me into his home and provided that support when I needed it the most.
My story is just one of many examples of Scott going above and beyond, so his students could reach their highest potential. I can say without a doubt that Scott was the force behind my ability to graduate, go on to Saint Anselm College, and have a successful career as a prosecuting attorney.
This election, the current state senator isn’t running again and District 16 faces an opportunity to elect a new senator.
I am asking the residents of District 16 (Manchester Wards 1, 2 and 12 and the towns of Bow, Candia, Dunbarton and Hooksett) to join me in electing a real public servant who truly cares about the people he serves. He was a true fighter for his students and will fight for all Granite Staters to get ahead and to stay ahead.
Vote Scott McGilvray for state Senate.
