The New Hampshire Association for the Blind and Northeast Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services have partnered to provide iCanConnect, a federal program that helps individuals with significant combined hearing and vision loss to connect with family, friends and community. iCanConnect will provide free communication technology and training to those who meet federal income guidelines. The Kearsarge Community Band, based in New London, is seeking a new music director to replace Aarne Vesilind, who will retire in January. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings in the New London Outing Club gym. The band plays three formal concerts during the academic year and hosts the Festival of New Hampshire Community Bands in the fall. There is also a summer version of the band. There are approximately 50 musicians, ranging in age from 16 to 85.
