Two Laconia residents are facing drug charges after police say they searched a Concord hotel room and found approximately 115 grams of methamphetamine and several thousand dollars in cash.
Timothy Malone, 37, and Briana D’Amore, 19, each face one felony count of possession of a controlled narcotic drug with intent to distribute. Malone was also wanted on an electronic bench warrant out of Laconia’s district court.
Emergency personnel had initially responded to the Comfort Inn on Hall Street on Sept. 30 for a report of two people suffering from drug overdoses, according to Concord police Lt. Tim O’Malley. He said Malone and D’Amore each received medical aid but neither was taken to the hospital.
While on scene, police observed “hypodermic needles, a large amount of cash, multiple packages of pills, a large scale and a box of plastic baggies,” according to police. O’Malley noted that one of the needles appeared to have been used recently.
Police arrested Malone and D’Amore that day. They also applied for a warrant to search the hotel room.
That search was conducted Thursday. Officers say they seized a bag containing 115 grams of methamphetamine – which has a street value of $20,000 – and several thousand dollars in cash.
Both Malone and D’Amore were released on $10,000 personal recognizance. Each are scheduled to be arraigned today in 6th Circuit Court District Division in Concord.
