A Weare man is accused of attempting to solicit sex from a minor online, police said.

Donald Malette, 38, was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony counts of certain uses of computer services prohibited and falsifying physical evidence, for allegely deleting emails.

His arrest culminated “a lengthy investigation involving communication online with a minor,” according to a news release from Weare police.

Weare police Sergeant Brandon Montplaisir and Lt. Frank Hebert could not be reached for comment Tuesday night. Police told the Union Leader that Malette posted a Craiglist ad looking for a mother and daughter to have an “experience” with.

Local detectives were assisted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Malette is being held at the Hillsborough County jail in Manchester on $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned today in Goffstown’s district court.
