I urge you to vote for former Democratic Representative Beth Rodd and candidate David Woolpert for the New Hampshire House representing Bradford and Henniker. They have a proven record of listening to their constituents and acting on their behalf.

In 2011 the citizens of New Hampshire flooded the State House plaza with a rally against the House budget that then Speaker Bill O’Brien put forward through the Houses. That budget contained cuts to services for our citizens and we have yet to recover from them.

An effort to refuse treatment for people with mental illness resulted in a lawsuit that the state ultimately lost cost taxpayers millions of dollars.

Thousands of jobs were lost statewide in our hospitals, medical centers and the industries that pave our highways. Cuts to our Department of Transportation threatened to result in less plowing of our streets and highways.

The Children In Need of Services Program was also cut and resulted in downshifting to our local school districts to struggle with providing families’ those much needed services. Bill O’Brien’s budget was supported by former one-term legislator and current Republican candidate for the N.H. House, Mark Lindsley. Not only did he do the state harm voting for the O’Brien budget, he also voted to repeal New Hampshire’s marriage equality law and even to repeal public kindergarten. In addition, Mark Lindsley had a “mostly absent” attendance rate.

We need civility in government. Vote for Rodd and Woolpert.
