This weekend the Capitol Center for the Arts will feature two female music duos.
On Saturday at 8 p.m., My Bubba performs in a Spotlight Cafe performance. Sweden’s My Larsdotter and Iceland’s Bubba Tomasdottir share past lives, soulful folk music and a sultry sound. The music is reflective and sonically sparse. Tickets are $20.
On Sunday at 7:30 p.m., Indigo Girls (Amy Ray and Emily Saliers) will take to the stage. During their 25 years performing together, they have perfected a shared sound that is both raucous and soothing. Rolling Stone describes them as the “ideal duet partners.” Tickets are $45.
