Scouts will be distributing Scouting for Food bags on Saturday and will return Nov.12 to collect donations.
The Boscawen Elementary School scholastic book fair will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., along with the BES PTA craft fair. The schoolโs website has a link for anyone to order online by Nov. 20. Books will be shipped free to the school. Proceeds will help buy books for classrooms and the library.

The 65th annual Concord Christmas parade on Nov. 19 will feature the Concord and Merrimack Valley high school bands and the New Hampshire Pipes and Drum Corps. We hope to add other groups. The organizers are in need of donations to help pay for bands, police and plaques. Concord Grange, The Rowley Agency and Concord Business Center will sponsor bands. Boy Scout Troop 86 of Wesley Methodist Church held its Court of Honor recently. Second Class rank advancement was earned by Dominic Locke and Life rank advancement was earned by Brian Hill. Ten scouts also earned merit badges. A slideshow was shown of the scoutsโ recent white water rafting trip.
