As I understand it, civics is not a mandatory course in schooling these days, nor has it been for a while.
I just want to remind the voters that the same party controlling the executive, legislative and judicial branches shifts our government away from a democracy. These departments must vary in party representation in order for the checks and balances to be maintained in a democracy.
Please be as educated about the candidates as possible before voting.
