The Concord area received its first snowfall of the winter season Sunday night. The National Weather Service recorded 0.2 inches of snow in the capital city. The snow and black ice contributed to many accidents including a fatal crash on Route 4 in Durham. Temperatures are supposed to increase to the 40s for the rest of the week, but there is a chance snow will return Thursday.
