Pontine Theatre will present a trio of shows in its collection A New England Christmas.
Performances will be Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Seacoast Science Center in Rye.
The performances will feature three shows produced by Marguerite Mathews and Greg Gathers.
In “Christmas Every Day” by William Dean Howells, a little girl’s wish for Christmas every day turns into a disaster. Howells owned a home on Kittery Point until his death in 1920.
In “Once on this Christmas” by Dorothy Thompson, the Vermont writer remembers rural Christmases and traditions.
In “Cap’n Eli’s Best Ear” by Frank Stockton, a retired, widowed sea captain tries to celebrate the holidays once again.
