A few comments regarding the most egregious statements of Jim Mayotte’s letter to editor (Monitor letters, Dec. 8): “Do Democrats know (we) use the Electoral College?” Duh! Democrats know all too well that twice during this young century, the majority of American voters chose the Democrat for president, but the Electoral College installed the Republican.
“Why don’t Democrats move to Venezuela or Cuba?”
Better yet, why don’t Trump Republicans move to Russia?
“Why do Democrats, after they lose elections, continue to tell Republicans how to govern?”
The vast majority of Americans agree with individual issues promoted by Democrats, but Trump Republicans are hands-down winners at political gamesmanship: gerrymandering, voter suppression and using the Electoral College installations as “mandates.”
Lastly, a trusted “brite bark” news source has reported Cher is en route to Jupiter on a spaceship developed by a highly secretive consortium led by Vladimir Putin and Hillary Clinton.
