Boston Bruins leading scorer David Pastrnak is expected to miss at least two games after having surgery on his right elbow over the weekend.

Pastrnak, the 20-year-old forward, will miss today’s game against the Los Angeles Kings and Tuesday’s game against the New York Islanders. The Bruins didn’t say Saturday if he was going to miss additional games.

Pastrnak, second to only Sidney Crosby in the NHL with 19 goals, underwent a similar procedure to the one teammate David Backes had earlier this season, according to CSNNE’s Joe Haggerty.

“Pastrnak has undergone the same elbow procedure as David Backes earlier this season. Backes missed 5 games & roughly two weeks of action,” Haggerty tweeted Saturday.

Pastrnak is currently the only Bruin with a double-digit goal total and his 26 points is second on the team to only Brad Marchand (27).
