Three years after Don Decowski and two others gathered a small group of players, the pickleball crew in Hillsboro is going strong. With players ranging in age from their 20s to 80s, the group meets yearround and can get up to three courts going at once.
“It’s here for those that want to take part,” Decowski said. The group plays every Tuesday at the Hillsboro-Deering Middle School gym from 5:30 to 7 p.m., through the winter and into May. In the summer they play at Grimes Field in Hillsboro.
