This garland is simple and takes very few materials. There’s a fast sewing version or a little bit slower, no-sew one.
5 to 6 sheets of craft felt

1. Start by tracing a heart on cardboard to use as a stencil or use a heart-shaped cookie cutter. Trace as many hearts as you can on the sheets of felt. Cut out hearts.
2. Pair mismatch colors together and lay out how you want the garland to look. I had four columns with nine hearts down, and a fifth, center column with 10 hearts.
3. Sewing version: Pull about 8 to 10 inches of thread from the machine and tie the ends. Sew down the center of the heart, then keep sewing until you have about 2 to 3 inches of just thread, then sew another heart down the center, without cutting the thread. Repeat until you’ve reached the end of the column.
No-sew version: Hot glue a strand of yarn sandwiched between two hearts down the center. Leave room at the top to tie and 2 to 3 inches between each heart.
4. Tie the long ends of each column of hearts to a curtain rod or dowel and hang.
