I thought we were a nation of people who celebrated, among other things, freedom of speech and freedom of association.
Apparently some of us believe otherwise. Why else would people endeavor to control our thoughts, speech and associations through the venue of public shaming?
Somehow support for the Patriots has become support for Trump. This line of reasoning is utterly devoid of substance and importance to our future as a nation where freedom of speech and association are cornerstones of our democracy and is, in my view, intended only to shame people who do not believe as they do.
This will only contribute to the current divisiveness prevalent in our land. And now let the ad hominem attacks begin. (Ad hominem: Attacking the personโs character rather than answering the argument.)
