After being the first in the school to earn 60 “Wolf Tracks,” fifth-grader Edie Fischer was chosen to be principal for a day at Center Woods Upper Elementary School.
Students earn Wolf Tracks when they are spotted by teachers and staff for doing the right thing, such as working hard, helping another person and being kind. Staff members look for students to “be on the right track.”
Edie spent part of a day in January with Principal Shawne Hilliard monitoring the hallways, working with students and sitting in on a teacher observation. Edie said she learned that as a school principal, you never know what the day may have in store for you as it changes minute by minute.
