The gloom over Trump’s election has been tempered by the groundswell of outrage over his actions, and the courage of those standing up to him. The cascade of inane and illegal rulings spewing from D.C. has finally awakened a sleeping giant.
People here and around the world are raising their voices against all oppression, not just religious. Trump’s actions as president have galvanized the liberal and moderate base of both parties in ways the election process did not.
The Republican federal judge who overturned Trump’s travel ban, and the three appeals court judges who upheld the decision, have drawn a line in the sand protecting our constitutional rights.
Trump’s actions led squadrons of ACLU attorneys to major airports the night of the travel ban to help those affected. Just think – Trump made heroes out of lawyers.
The media is finally rising up to do its job properly, realizing the buffoon they merrily reported about is really now in power. Trump’s vendetta against the press and the courts is the beginning of his end. He will soon learn there are consequences for defying the law of the land even if you occupy the White House. He will not be able to run the government the way he ran his businesses.
Those who hoped Trump would actually do some good for the common man by protecting him from the influence of Wall Street will soon realize what a bald-faced liar he is. Those responsible for our most recent financial collapse, the ones who never went to jail for their actions, are now sitting in the White House holding the reins of economic power. The misanthropes who populate his inner circle do not have a populist bone amongst them.
Trump mirrors everything that’s wrong with us. He embodies the greed, fear and envy of an insecure child. His edicts highlight the negative values that hold us back as a species and prevent us from realizing our potential as a family of man. He is a classic example of a pathological narcissist, someone who has lost his sense of humanity.
Those of us who long for a world of peace and harmony, one without borders and boundaries, one in which all people are treated with respect and celebrated for their differences, in which all living creatures matter, have been gifted with a catalyst of change we could never have imagined.
