I met Faith Minton when I was coaching youth softball and she was acting as a mentor to one of my young players. Faith saw a need in our community – young people who needed a consistent and caring adult in their lives – and she stepped up to do her part to fill that need.
Turns out, she has been stepping up to fill needs for our kids for more than three decades. She was a founder and board chair of the Kearsarge Area Children’s Center, an early childhood education center that has served Warner for 25 years. She was volunteer coordinator for the PTO. She coached youth soccer and coordinated the program in town. She recruited volunteers to build the playground at Simonds School and worked to bring the Artists in Residence program to our elementary school students. And more. When our kids need something, Faith steps up.
Now she has stepped up again – as a candidate to represent Warner on the Kearsarge School Board.
Faith will approach the job with intelligence, civility, fiscal responsibility and a willingness to work hard. She is a true champion for our kids. She will be a great representative for Warner on the school board.
