Vote Branscom in Bow

June Branscom, a dedicated school board member, seeks your vote.

I have enjoyed the ruralness and small town atmosphere of Bow for 32 years with my family. We support the excellent school system. I am interested in preserving the quality of the school system while maintaining a reasonable budget.

The budget is created and voted on 18 months in advance, making it difficult to predict costs. Warmer winters, less snow, personnel changes and changes to student population can create a fund balance. This year, through responsible spending, we are able to return a significant amount of money as fund balance to the town.

I have served on many of the committees, including: budget and CIP committee; search committees for elementary and high school principal; all-day kindergarten study committee; support staff negotiations leading to an accepted change toward more consumer-based health plans; chaired committee to name the Memorial School gym after George Pinkham and taken classes at the NHSBA.

My connection to the real estate community and Bow Business Development Commission help me contribute to Bow. It is important to bring in new business, while supporting our current businesses and residents.

The Bow power plant tax evaluation is an issue. I have confidence that our select board will make the right decision for the town and we will work on future school budgets to address any fiscal impact.

Please vote for me on Tuesday so I can continue working for the students and the town.
