I am writing to encourage Warner residents to vote for Faith Minton, a candidate for the Kearsarge Regional School Board, on Tuesday, March 14.
For the 41 years that her family has lived in Warner, Faith has demonstrated a constant commitment to building and maintaining important community connections focusing on education, health care and nutrition, environmental quality, community athletics, the arts, and a vibrant Warner Main Street with thriving local businesses, restaurants, a library, a community park and museums.
She was a founding member of the Kearsarge Children’s Center, served on the boards of the Warner PTO, Parks and Recreation, Warner Fall Foliage Festival, MainStreet Warner, Inc., and a mentor with the Friend’s Program.
For Faith, it is not about an “us and them” approach to resolving problems. She repeatedly demonstrates her ability in getting us all to work together, bringing everyone to the table to better communicate our needs and concerns.
These are the qualities that we need expressed and advanced within our public school system. Real choice is about a community focused on bridging relationships between parents, teachers, students and administrators. These connections increase a student’s proficiency and achievement in and outside of the classroom, gives teachers greater flexibility and control over the classroom, and places parents as real partners in their children’s education. These are all the elements for an “education for success” approach that will be a primary focus for Faith as our next Kearsarge Regional School Board member.
